What I think is important to the CAL?

I think that before we can decide on a new home for the CAL, we need to decide what is important in our new home. We need to know what you think is important, because that will ultimately effect the decision of where we need to be.
So in this discussion, tell us what you think is important to you, your son and daughter players and your family spectators. From this information, we can create a poll of the most supported ideas and decide what matters to us.

Re: What I think is important to the CAL?

Our family has experienced other leagues and the scheduling issues that having 2 sons (CAL) and a daughter (Ice Wolves) playing hockey can cause. The focus of the CAL is house league hockey, meaning that nothing else takes president over our house league games and practices. Our experience has shown that this is not the case in other leagues. I don't expect that any of my kids will play hockey professionally, so we are really happy that they get to play and practice as much as they do.

One of the things we value the most in the CAL is having a schedule of a game and a practice (at a set time each week) and not getting bumped out for higher level hockey.

Re: What I think is important to the CAL?

How about giving our countless volunteer coaches, trainers, managers and last but not least PLAYERS have a say on whether they would like to move to a bigger and better facility,,,after all without this group of people ,,there would be no C.A.L.,,These people put in a lot of time and effort and deserve a right to have input.A larger and more updated facility I am sure would be welcomed by the majority.Give our volunteers the tools they need to keep up the excellent work they are already doing.

I agree with kerry, let the kids play in the best facility available, forget about the history and move on. Put up a plaque up for the history individuals. As to location in driving to harold harvey for 9 years I have never saw a child walking with a hockey bag. CAT is easily accessible and would be a much better facility.
